Denmark went all out to show there is no room for homophobia in football. Two pro soccer teams sent a strong message out against homophobia in sports. Last night (6 June) Denmark welcomed Germany for a friendly football match. And as it is Pride month, the teams used their opportunity to send a message against homophobia and discrimination. Both teams’ captains – Julian Draxler for Germany and Denmark’s Christian Eriksen – swapped their usual captain’s bands for a rainbow version.
